Discreet Internet Access For A Luxury Ranch Open House

Setting & Stakes

A long tree‑lined drive opened to a modern ranch with glass and stone. Agents needed comps and CRM; the media team needed a 4K loop on a large display; visitors wanted QR codes for floor plans. Cell service was barely usable.

Constraints & Risks

Wind, distance between buildings, and an ever‑changing line of sight as guests parked. Interior mounting was off the table—no adhesives or hardware on finished surfaces. The TV loop had to be wired to avoid stutter.

Design & Deployment

We placed the dish at the pasture edge for a clean sky view and ran a low‑visibility cable along the fence, crossing walkways with slim covers. Three access points served Agent (priority), Visitor, and Media. The display received a direct Ethernet drop. Transmit power and channels were tuned to limit spill into the lot.

Operations

We arrived early, validated comps on the agent’s laptop, and burned in the video loop. During the showing we kept the Visitor SSID rate‑limited and repositioned one AP when a cross‑breeze swung a barn door and created a dead corner.

Outcome

The showing ran without a single network interruption. Agents worked as if in town, the TV didn’t drop a frame, and guests browsed the digital brochure at leisure. Infrastructure hid in plain sight—exactly as intended.
